Planned Preventative Maintenance Contracts
Kent Drainage recognises the crucial importance of maintaining a healthy drainage infrastructure. This is why we offer 3-month, 6-month and 12-month planned preventative maintenance contracts to shops throughout London, Kent and surrounding areas. We can offer you protection from the imminent dangers of a damaged drainage infrastructure.
Our planned maintenance programmes ensure that drainage issues are tackled in the quickest and most cost-effective way and offer you an effective, economical way of controlling your drainage costs. All contracts can be catered to your drainage needs and arranged at a time that suits you best. On average, your drains and plumbing infrastructure should be checked 4 times a year.
All drain maintenance, cleaning and repair work is carried out by our team of experienced drainage specialists. Kent Drainage’s highly qualified, specialist engineers will carry out an extensive drain survey of your entire site, assessing problem areas and bringing these to your attention before they can lead to blockages. We then use our specialist high-pressure water jetting system and mechanical equipment to clean all ground drainage pipework, internal pipework and traps, road gullies, ACO channels and guttering, leaving all drains free of scale, fat, debris and silt build-up and ensuring a free-flowing drainage system.
A CCTV survey is a detailed, in-depth inspection of all drainage and pipework using advanced, hi-tech CCTV survey camera equipment and technology. CCTV surveys show the condition of your drains and support pipe maintenance, repairs and replacement. Ultimately, they allow you to take preventative action, ensuring all drainage issues are dealt with before they turn into a substantial expense.
Once the CCTV camera is inserted into the pipework, our experienced engineers can see any issues via a live feedback. After the CCTV survey is carried out you will receive a comprehensive report on any current or potential issues. If any issues are identified, Kent Drainage will be able to offer you a fixed quote for any remedial work necessary.
A CCTV survey carried out by Kent Drainage can identify:
- Cracks and breaks
- Collapsed pipes
- Poorly installed pipework
- Tree root encroachment
- Displaced joints
- Scale build-up

Drain Lining and Localised Structure Repair
Kent Drainage offer drain relining and localised structure repair (LSR) services to shops throughout the South East as a cheaper and mess-free alternative to traditional drain excavation.
As a shop, the last thing you want is the disturbance of ground excavation, potentially leading to disruption, health and safety concerns, or the temporary closure of the premises. With drain relining and LSR, this is unnecessary.
Drain relining attaches a new protective layer to the inside of an existing pipe, acting as a shield to future damage. Localised structure repair (LSR) uses the same process as drain relining but is carried out on a smaller portion of the pipework.
Drain relining is typically used for drains with diameter ranges of 100mm to 1200mm, whereas LSR is used on pipework with a diameter of 100mm to 450mm and a length of 1 metre.
It is essential to have one of our specialist engineers assess the damage of your pipe to ascertain whether drain relining is possible or whether the pipework needs to be replaced.
What are the benefits of Drain Relining and LSR?
- Both drain relining and LSR last up to 50 years
- The trenchless method used by Kent Drainage avoids the disruption of excavating pipework
If you are unsure whether you require drain relining or LSR please call us on 01622 919012 or email email@example.com to receive direct advice from our specialist engineers.
What is a sewer connection?
A sewer connection is the connection made between your property’s private drainage system and the pipework connected to the main sewerage system. This transports sewage from numerous locations to a treatment plant. A private drainage system should be connected to either a main sewer or a sewage treatment plant.
Sewer connections ensure all sewage is channelled away from your building in the safest and most efficient way possible.
Sewer Connection or the Main Treatment Plant?
A main treatment plant should be cleaned and maintained on a yearly basis, leading to higher drainage costs compared to sewer connections. With sewer connections, regular maintenance is unnecessary, making it a cheaper alternative in the long-term.
How do Kent Drainage install sewer connections?
Your site will need to be visited, free of charge, by one of our experienced engineers. This is necessary to establish any site requirements and locate your drains.
A request for a drainage plan will need to be sent to the local authorities before we can apply for the connection to the sewer. After the plan has been established and the application for the sewer connection approved, Kent Drainage will manage the job from start to finish including all required road/footpath closures, diversion routes and road applications to the local authorities. Here at Kent Drainage, we guarantee you a stress-free experience.
A CCTV survey may also be required upon the initial inspection of your site and the application for a drainage plan.
Why choose Kent Drainage?
With more than 20 years of knowledge and experience in the installation of main sewer connections and the required NRSWA certification, we deliver work to the highest standard possible.
A private drainage system can typically be located on a road or footpath.
In the instance that you do not have an on-site builder to install a private drainage system, Kent Drainage are also able to provide this service. If you are a shop located in London, Kent or surrounding areas and would like to talk about your options in more detail, waste no time in contacting Kent Drainage today.
