Croydon - Structural Report using a CCTV Crawler Unit

Last week, our engineers were called out to a job in Croydon on a proposed building site for one of our commercial clients- Pleiadian Property Ltd. KD Drainage were asked to carry out a structural report on the drain and pinpoint its location. Our engineers were working hard to trace a 900mm culvert with the use of a CCTV crawler unit. The CCTV camera in inserted into the drain, allowing our engineers to view the inside of your pipework. For larger and longer pipes, as shown in the images above, a CCTV crawler unit is typically used. It is a camera operated by a remote control that can tilt in various directions.

Waterboard Approved Build-Over CCTV Survey

A pre-build-over inspection plays a vital role in the initial planning of an extension near a sewer. If you are expanding your property near a local authority sewer a build-over survey may be required to gain permission for the work to be carried out.
