We have had a busy start to 2017 at Kent Drainage.
The project and continuing works at University College of London (UCL) has been immense.
After implementing a new planned maintenance program we saw reactive calls drop by a huge 33%, this just goes to show the importance of having planned maintenance implemented.
From the results of CCTV surveys carried out, serious remedial works have also been undertaken including, repairs to existing pipe work, high pressure jetting of seriously scaled stacks, access points in some stacks created to enable high pressure jetting, float line replacement, man hole replacements, schematic drawings of the sites, drain lining, drain patches and further CCTV investigations. UCL are certainly keeping us busy and we are enjoying the partnership and helping them reduce the reactive side of their business.
After a successful advertising campaign we have also been busy carrying out CCTV surveys for new homebuyers all over Kent and South London. The feedback we get is that the CCTV surveys give the purchaser and the mortgage company peace of mind that the drainage system is in a good state and that thousands of pounds will not have to spent in the near future. Some of the surveys undertaken have uncovered serious issues that the current owners were unaware of and resulted in major repairs covered under their insurance.
We have also taken on various reactive drainage work on behalf of Amey for Kent County Council as well as a lot of planned drainage repairs and installations for various schools in Kent.
More recently we have also been asked to provide Drainage Services for a large food producer in South London. The importance of providing planned maintenance in this sort of industry is paramount. Working in such a clean environment for us is difficult at times but our highly trained engineers are more than up to the task.
Our fleet of vans continue to grow, adding new vehicles with state of the art CCTV cameras and ultra quiet drain jetting equipment.
We have been continuing to work with various Civil Engineering companies, and schools undertaking drainage CCTV surveys, jetting and lining throughout the Easter holiday period.
